We’re digging into our archives as our new ‘Legends of Steam’ series will showcase a specific group of locomotives at heritage railways and hauling mainline charters from across the UK, working hard over the past 17 years.
LMS Royal Scot Class
The LMS Royal Scot Class is a class of 4-6-0 express passenger locomotive introduced in 1927. A total of 70 locomotives were built between 1934 and 1936, with just two of the rebuilt locomotives surviving into preservation.
This product will feature the following locomotives, seen both at heritage railways and hauling mainline charters across the UK:
– 46100 ‘Royal Scot’
– 46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’
