Product description:

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the only complete branch line in the UK is well re-known for holding their annual Winter Steam Gala. The event is an important event on many enthusiasts calendars for holding a varied range of trains running along the picturesque five mile branch line.

The annual 2017 Winter Steam Gala featured an action packed three days, including the addition of several visiting engines. Running over the cold, damp mornings of March 2017 a collection of engines tackled the steep gradients from Keighley to Oxenhope.

The 2017 Winter Steam Gala lineup featured three visiting engines, offering visitors a wide and varied collection of engines to travel behind over the weekend.

Visiting engines included:

LNER B1 No.61264
LNER B1 No.61264 is one of two 'B1' engines saved for preservation. First designed by Edward Thompson as a wartime mixed-traffic locomotive for general passenger and freight duties, LNER B1 No.61264 was built at Glasgow Works in 1947. LNER B1 No.61264 was recently returned to steam in 2012 and is currently based on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
LNER B1 No.61264 arrived at the KWVR via the mainline on the 28th February 2017 - B1 No.61264 is seen passing Micklefield whilst travelling to the railway.

LMS 'Crab' No.13065
LMS 'Crab' No.13065 was built as a mixed traffic engine by the LMS, 245 of the 'Hughes Crab' engines were produced between 1926 and 1932. LMS No.13065 is one of only three saved for preservation and recently returned to steam in 2014 after a long overhaul at Bury. The engine is currently based at the East Lancashire Railway.

LMS 5MT No.45212
LMS 'Black 5' No.45212 was built in 1935 by Armstrong Whitworth & Co. in Newcastle. No.45212 recently returned to steam in 2016 after overhaul by Ian Riley at Bury. For the first time since 1968, the engine returned to the mainline in 2017 and arrived at the KWVR via the mainline.

Footage is included from throughout all three days of the event, with a wide collection of shots at carefully selected locations along the 5 mile branch line.
