The 18th November saw three steam charters head for York including:
1. LMS 7P No.46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’ is seen hauling ‘The Settle & Carlisle Santa Special’, running from Carlisle to York and return, seen passing Fairburn Ings.
2. LMS 5MT No.44871 is seen hauling ‘The Christmas White Rose’, running from London Kings Cross to York and return, seen passing Colton Junction.
3. LMS 5MT No.45231 ‘The Sherwood Forester’ is seen hauling ‘The York Christmas Market’ from London Kings Cross to York and return, seen passing Colton Junction.
