Description
The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the only complete branch line in the UK is well re-known for holding their annual Autumn Steam Gala. The event is an important event on many enthusiasts calendars for holding a varied range of trains running along the picturesque five mile branch line.
The annual 2014 Autumn Steam Gala featured the launch of resident Southern ‘West Country’ No.34092 ‘City Of Wells’ returning after an absence of over 20 years. Having returned to steam earlier in 2014, the Autumn Gala featured the engine running with name plates and running at its first gala event.
Running over the cold, damp mornings of October 2014 a collection of engines tackled the steep gradients from Keighley to Oxenhope. Long term visiting engine LMS 5MT No.45305 played a short part in the event due to failing with leaking boiler tubes.
Footage is included from throughout the event and features all the engines that ran at the event. Trackside footage is included, an aspect not available to the general public. A wide collection of freight, vintage, express and passenger services also feature throughout the DVD.
Footage is included from a photo charter featuring BR 8F No.90733 running in replacement of LMS 5MT No.45305 on a cold, foggy, atmospheric morning.

We have taken the opportunity to include some extra footage, this includes SR West Country No.34092 ‘City Of Wells’ at the Worth Valley since returning to traffic earlier in 2014.
Long term visiting engine LMS 5MT No.45305 recently visited the North Norfolk Railway for their annual Autumn Gala which is featured on the DVD.
