During 2025, we’ve travelled over 35,000 miles to bring you all the action from across the country, including the various Railway 200 celebrations. From the Scottish Highlands to Cornwall and Devon, and from Sussex to Snowdonia, what more could you need to recall the best moments of 2025?

Charters include ‘The Jacobite’, ‘The Royal Duchy’, ‘The Great Britain XVII’, ‘The English Riviera Express’, ‘The Dalesman’, ‘The Fellsman’, ‘The Lakelander’, ‘The White Rose’, ‘The Northern Belle’, ‘The Cumbrian Mountain Express’, The Scarborough Spa Express’, plus others too.
2025 Highlights:
– Mainline charters are featured from a variety of locations across the UK, including the Devon Banks, the West Coast Mainline including Shap, the Settle & Carlisle Railway, the West Highland Railway Extension, the Cumbrian Coast, the East Coast Mainline, among others.
Many locomotives are featured including: 60532 ‘Blue Peter’, 60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’, 5029 ‘Nunney Castle’, 71000 ‘Duke Of Gloucester’, 35028 ‘ Clan Line’, 60163 ‘Tornado’, 61306 ‘Mayflower’, 45596 ‘Bahamas’, 45699 ‘Galatea’, 35018 ‘British India Line’, 46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’, 34067 ‘Tangmere’, 7029 ‘Clun Castle’, 5043 ‘Earl Of Mount Edgecumbe’, 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’, 44932, 44871, 45212 plus others too.

– The Greatest Gathering was held at Derby Litchurch Lane Works, one of the highlights of the national Railway 200 celebrations. The three-day event hosted the largest temporary gathering of trains and rail-related exhibits in a generation. Footage is included from across the event, along with mainline movements, including a quadruple header featuring 45699 ‘Galatea’, 44932, 46115 ‘Scots Guardsman’, and 35018 ‘British India Line’.

– 2025 marked the 200th anniversary of the modern railway, and various events were held across the country under the banner of Railway 200. Several of these are featured, including the replica of Locomotion No.1 and LNER A3 No.60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, along with the Ffestiniog Railway’s Platinum Jubilee Gala and all night running at the Severn Valley Railway’s 60th Anniversary Steam Gala.

– A number of unassisted mainline steam tours ran throughout the year, including LMS 45596 ‘Bahamas’, LNER 60532 ‘Blue Peter’, and BR 71000 ‘Duke of Gloucester’ hauling services over the West Coast Mainline, plus GWR 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ and LMS 45596 ‘Bahamas’ double-heading over the Devon Banks.

– ‘The Great Britain XVII’ returned, travelling across the UK with a nine-day tour. Footage is featured from across England, Wales, and Scotland, featuring 35028 ‘Clan Line’, 60163 ‘Tornado’, 34067 ‘Tangmere’, and Black Five 45212.

– With autumn colours beginning to emerge, ‘The Jacobite’ was captured in mid September. Locomotives LMS 5MT No.45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ and LMS 5MT No.44871 are seen hauling services between Fort William and Mallaig.

– A collection of photo charters are featured during this product including L&YR A Class No.52322 at the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, BR 4MT No.80105 at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, LMS Mogul No.13268 at the East Lancashire Railway, LMS 3F No.16440 at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and LBSCR Marsh Atlantic No. 32424 ‘Beachy Head’ at the Bluebell Railway.

– Throughout the four discs a wide collection of events are featured from many different heritage railways including goods services, vintage services, gravity trains, express services and much more.

This product features no commentary, allowing you to fully appreciate the sound of the steam locomotives working hard. Short titles are included throughout informing you of the date, railway / charter name, locomotive and location. Copies are available in DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download formats.
