Great Western No.6880 ‘Betton Grange’ is seen passing Rabbit Bridge at the Great Central Railway, taken on the 2nd February 2025. The locomotive was visiting the railway for their 2025 Winter Steam Gala.
Great Western No.6880 ‘Betton Grange‘ is a newly built steam locomotive, constructed to fulfill the Great Western Railway’s original vision for the missing Grange class engine. Using components from various donor locomotives, it completed its first steaming in 2022 and now operates on heritage railways.
