LNER A2 No.60532 ‘Blue Peter’ passes Buxworth with ‘The Christmas White Rose’, running from Crewe to York and return on the 22nd November 2024.
Steam locomotive No.60532 Blue Peter is a LNER Peppercorn Class A2 4-6-2, built in 1948 at Doncaster Works for express passenger duties on the East Coast Main Line. Now preserved, Blue Peter returned to steam in 2024 following a major overhaul, and is once again a regular performer on mainline railtours and heritage railway events.
