Description
Our Spring Steam Gala DVD & Blu-Ray returns for 2022…
The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, one of the very few complete branch lines in the UK is renown for holding their annual Spring Steam Gala. The three day event saw two visiting steam locomotives, both of which ran alongside the home fleet of locomotives; seen hauling a mixture of passenger, express and freight services.
Tackling the steep gradients between Keighley and Oxenhope, LMS 7P No.46100 ‘Royal Scot’ and GWR 57xx No.7714 both visited for the event. BR 2F No.52044 which returned to steam in 2021, emerged from the paintshop just ahead of the event, making its first public appearance in its BR black livery.
